[That one stings, given the entire reason the two of them met was because of his own loneliness, and Will wanting to "help" using the hallucinogenic pollen. This could be another incident like that, or Will could be completely right.

Either way, Fern isn't sure he should feel stubbornly offended (you aren't alone is what he wants to type), or go along with what he, both an authority and father figure, believes on the off-chance this is indeed a good opportunity to desperately stave off further loneliness.]
